This view, taken facing West from the East end of the
valley, shows just one of our "smokers" at work.

Although it is not apparent just what the discharge contains, it
does offer a clue as to the source of the smoke pall. This is a
day of variable breezes; just now the breeze is blowing North,
uncharacteristically up the Granby Valley - Heads Up!, North
Fork!

This was a blustery spring day of shifting winds.
The haze in the main valley tells us that, for some portion of the day,
the
wind was running contrary to the prevailing direction - up the Kettle.
