Although it is not apparent just what the discharge contains, it does offer a clue as to the source of the smoke pall. This is a day of variable breezes; just now the breeze is blowing North, uncharacteristically up the Granby Valley - Heads Up!, North Fork!

This was a blustery spring day of shifting winds. The haze in the main valley tells us that, for some portion of the day, the wind was running contrary to the prevailing direction - up the Kettle.
